Job Details
- Develop comprehensive product design specifications that align with critical customer requirements.
- Create sketches and concept drawings, accurately detailing dimensions and material specifications for parts and their interrelations.
- Provide precise cost estimates in response to customer requests for quotes.
- Document design inputs and ensure the finished product meets all design goals through rigorous validation and inspection.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed designs, adhering to KFI Engineering Standards, while maintaining organization within the EPDM vault.
- Coordinate project review meetings with various teams, including Sales, Vendors, and Manufacturing, to discuss design feasibility and requirements.
- Act as the liaison between sales personnel, supervisors, and customers, ensuring all customer requirements are met effectively.
- Schedule and lead design review meetings, providing timely updates to supervisors on project statuses to ensure on-time completion.
- Update existing product designs and manage the Engineering Change and Revision Process as needed.
- Analyze and develop technical data relevant to assigned projects.
- Contribute to KFI’s outstanding safety record by prioritizing safety in all design and development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design or a related field.
- 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of polymers, particularly thermoforming and/or injection molding is a plus.
- Experience in material handling is preferred but not required.
