About the Job
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage projects from conception to completion, including design, documentation, and procurement.
- Design dies, fixtures, weld jigs, and processes using 3-D CAD software.
- Create required documentation, including prints and bills of materials (BOM).
- Program components for fabrication using 3-D CAM software.
- Provide support for tooling assembly and implementation.
- Assist in problem-solving for production and maintenance departments.
- Set up machines and inspect parts in production to ensure quality.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and support various departments as needed.
- Support company goals and maintain professional standards in all interactions.
- Handle confidential information regarding manufacturing know-how and patents.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred experience in metal tube fabrication and welded assemblies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of engineering theory and manufacturing techniques
- Proficiency in 3-D CAD/CAM software, preferably Autodesk Inventor and Feature-CAM
- Creative problem-solving abilities and effective time management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Resourcefulness and tact in dealing with internal and external business contacts
