Project Leader – Architecture Firm
General Summary
Our client, a leading firm in the architecture industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Leader to oversee project activities, ensure quality control, and manage project delivery. Reporting to a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, the Project Leader will manage all phases of project management, from design to contract documentation, shop drawing checks, site visits, and project closeout.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may supervise Designers I, II, and III.

Essential Duties
To perform this role successfully, the individual must be able to execute the following duties:

• Direct hands-on drawing production efforts of the project team.
• Coordinate workload with the project team and consultants to meet schedules.
• Review architectural documents for coordination with all disciplines.
• Coordinate, write, and/or edit architectural specifications.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Extensive knowledge of the project development process, including construction, retail design, site planning, structural, and MEP criteria.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service to clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of building systems and site requirements.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and conscientious.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture.
• 6-10 years of experience, with 3 years working in commercial retail, mixed-use, or multi-family housing projects.
• Licensure in architecture is preferred.
