Job Description The DSQR/ Quality Inspector is responsible for the release of product for shipment in accordance with industry and customer requirements, first article inspection and document review, and product auditing as required. This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Quality Control Supervisor. Key Responsibilities • DPRV release of product in accordance with customer requirements including dimensional overchecks, visual inspection, paperwork verification, etc. • Ensuring all necessary customer approvals are obtained prior to authorizing shipment of product • Visual and dimensional inspection of aerospace engine components in accordance with customer drawings, specifications, and internal work instructions • Inspection/ acceptance of hidden characteristics at various stages of the production process • Generation and review of AS9102 First Article Inspection documents • Review of supplier certifications for compliance to purchase order requirements • Source inspection of components being manufactured at supplier facilities • Aid in Root Cause/ Corrective Action investigations for product found to be nonconforming • Conducting product audits in accordance with customer requirements • Other responsibilities as determined by Supervisor • Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations Job Requirements • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required • Current active SAE DPRV certification is required • 2+ years of prior DPRV/ DSQR/ DQR experience • 5+ years of inspection or quality engineering experience in an aerospace industry or general manufacturing environment • Prior experience as a DQR/ DSQR for Pratt & Whitney and/ or GE Aerospace is a plus • Prior experience working with major aero engine cases and assemblies is a plus • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures • Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools • A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required MB
Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
