Responsibilities:Designated Security Engineer

The Designated Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring customer fulfillment of SOW deliverables. The Security Engineer owns the establishment and fulfillment of the IT security landscape for client-facing engagements assigned. The Security Engineer is passionate about working with people.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Function as a subject matter expert for implementing and maintaining multifactor authentication (MFA) solutions in clients' Microsoft 365 environments
- Stay up-to-date on the latest MFA technologies and best practices
- Responsible for understanding the capabilities of SIEM tools and how they can be used to collect, analyze, and report on security events
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining vulnerability management processes and systems
- Provide critical guidance on identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities
- Responsible for understanding the capabilities of application security scanning tools and methodologies
- Function as a subject matter expert for installing and troubleshooting, and configuring, Windows, Linux, and Unix systems
- Design and implement security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control lists
- Conduct security assessments, such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Monitor and respond to security incidents
- Educate employees about security best practices
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university
- In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 - meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa
- PNPT, CISSP, Sec+, CISA, CISM, MS SC900-100 Certification
Experience
- Customarily has at least 3 years of experience with Operating Systems
- Customarily has at least 3 years of experience with Security Tools
- Customarily has at least 3 years of experience with MFA
- Customarily has at least 3 years of experience with Customer Facing engagements

Salary Range
The following information is required by the California Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of California. The anticipated starting pay range for Irvine, California applicants for this role is $127,753.11 - $157,517.25, with a median of $146,615.98. Actual compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for that role.
The following information is required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of Colorado. The anticipated starting pay range for Denver, Colorado applicants for this role is $120,404.36 - $148,456.39, with a median of $138,182.19. Actual compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for that role.
