About the Job
Pinnacle Metal Products is currently seeking full-time Entry-Level Designer/Detailer to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. We are a company that fabricates, delivers, and installs quality stairs, handrails, sculptures, and more! In this role you will work closely with senior designers and project managers to produce accurate and detailed plans for construction projects. You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings, models, and CNC files, while learning the essential skills required to succeed in this field. The role will also involve Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination, helping integrate various project models and ensuring alignment between design and construction teams. What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in creating detailed construction and fabrication drawings.
- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to ensure project accuracy.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla, or SDS/2 to create detailed 2D and 3D models.
- Support BIM coordination efforts by integrating models from multiple stakeholders and ensuring the alignment of architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Interface with CNC equipment to ensure designs are properly formatted for manufacturing.
- Work closely with production teams to optimize designs for CNC machining.
What we look for:
- Experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge or experience in computer design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla, SDS/2) is a plus.
- Familiarity with BIM processes and tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and CNC equipment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new software and processes.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
