Description:
The main function of a Civil Designer II is responsible for assisting Engineering and Operations in complying with the Facility Data Management Programs.
Responsibilities:
Willing to learn company Standards and Processes.
Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Creating 3D Models and coordinating the work with reference files of a multi-disciplined team.
Create and maintain Site Plans, Foundation Location Plans, Concrete Details, Rebar Schedule & Materials, Workspace drawings, Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, Steel Location Plans, Steel Details, Stakeout Plans, and other drawings that may be required.
Provides technical support, designs, and drawings for complex engineering projects.
Plans and conducts work requiring independent evaluation, also assumes responsibility for contribution to the success of a project.
Communicates with internal and external business partners to determine needs and satisfaction.
Develops and maintains facility drawings for Plants, Stations, and above ground appurtenances in support Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Tactical, and as necessary Engineering & Construction (E&C) projects ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Ensures accurate, timely, and efficient design and delivery of drawings from conception to as-built state and continued maintenance and updates afterwards.
Skills:
Experience with the following:
3D Modeling.
Working with Survey Data Points.
Proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Familiar with Drawing Units (Architectural Feet & Inches and Decimal Feet)
Ability to effectively communicate through emails and utilize electronic meeting requests.
Education/Experience:
Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent experience work experience Broad level of knowledge concerning industry codes, standards and practices such as ASME, API, ANSI, DOT, ISA, NEC, ACCI, AISC, UBC, ASCE, NFPA, AWS, NACE, IBC, etc.
3-5 years of drafting experience
Include a minimum of 5 years of related experience in gas and oil industry design and drafting.
Strong knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Concrete and Steel background.
