About the Job
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Technician with a focus on Print and Meeting Room Support to enhance our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and meeting room technology, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve printer issues, including installation, configuration, and repair.
- Support meeting room technology, including video conferencing equipment and presentation systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain print servers and printers.
- Manage print queues and resolve print-related issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams for seamless support and communication.
- Document incident resolutions and maintain accurate records.
- Stay updated with new technologies and trends in desktop support, printing, and meeting room technology.
- Train other engineers on image deployment processes.
- Serve as a Single Point of Contact for Project Management regarding deployment status and challenges.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop hardware.
- Experience with printer troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with meeting room technology and video conferencing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Specialized Skills
- Print server management.
- Printer troubleshooting and repair.
- Meeting room technology support.
- Video conferencing system support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in desktop support or a related field (e.g., CompTIA A+).
- Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and services.
- Experience in a similar industry or sector.
Education: Bachelors Degree
Requirements: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent 5+ years Salesforce development experience across multiple clouds 5+ years of experience with technical Salesforce implementations & development projects 4 + years in a consulting environment Strong client management & client communication experience 3+ years experience in Financial Services (Banking, Wealth & Asset Management expertise highly desired) 2+ years Financial Service Cloud (FSC) required Strong understanding of relational databases & working with large data sets Application development experience with Apex, JavaScript, Java, C#, SQL or similar Proficiency with APIs -- REST and SOAP-based web services (SOA) Experience in Object Oriented concepts and design, experience with OO languages Proficient in SFDC technologies including configuration and custom development Active in the Salesforce or other technical communities in the form of blogs, stack exchange posts, github and the like. Preferred Skills & Attributes: Experience working with On & Off-Shore teams Leadership/mentorship of more junior developers & other technologists Polyglot with experience in both OO and functional programming languages like Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript One or more current Salesforce.com certifications Nice to Have experience; nCino, velocity, Omni, MuleSoft
