Desktop Support engineer

Responsibilities: | · Works directly with the business customer to resolve/troubleshoot issues to satisfactory completion. · Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application integration. · Monitor help desk support tickets and requests · Provide end user support with various levels of technical and non-technical employees · Manage new hardware and software deployments to meet the customers timelines · Participates in 24x7 on-call rotation · Documents issues for knowledge base publication · May be required to travel to remote offices |
Required Skills: | · Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows WIN 7/8+, OS X, Microsoft Exchange email, Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition (SEP/DLP), Bitlocker encryption, Office 2010/13, LAN infrastructure, TCP/IP, LanDesk, and mobile devices (IOS, Android, BES) · Excellent communicator who can effectively manage customer escalations · Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new technologies · Tier II hardware support for Laptops, thin clients, and desktops (Client Elitebooks, Macbook Pro) · General knowledge on support VMWare Horizon View and Client Thin Clients (ThinOS). · 5+ years of Desktops support and/or related experiences · Can diagnose complex problems and design fixes · Experience in a highly secure environment is a plus |
