Description:
The person in this position is constantly in direct contact with a large number of users across all levels of the organization. The incumbent must deal effectively with multiple concurrent problems with only limited direct supervision. As such, determination of the highest immediate priority(s) and the most expedient course(s) of action may be required several times during the workday. The incumbent is responsible for all owned devices that are directly or indirectly connected to the Global computing environment. The resource also acts as a liaison between the corporate Information Services team and works to ensure stable on-going operations of the Infrastructure.
In addition to the soft skills above, the following technical skill sets will be required:
• High level of knowledge in supporting a Windows based client computing environment
• Ability to install and configure tablet, laptop, desktop and server computers, printers, and other peripherals.
• Robust hardware troubleshooting skills and significant user support experience in enterprise-wide organizations using automated deployment tools
• Demonstrates a broad range of technical knowledge to provide solutions and assist others. Successfully performs information technology practices including implementing and supporting products and services that meet or exceed the expectations of employees and customers.
• Ability to effectively work with corporate and/or international information technology staff to ensure a stable working environment in areas including, but not limited to, client/server computing infrastructure, telecommunication, network infrastructure, back-end servers and application support.
• A plus would be knowledge of Collaboration & Audio Video technology – Smart Board /Microsoft Surface Hub/Cisco Video Conferencing/Crestron. Ability to provide 2nd level support of similar equipment throughout the environment.
