Overview: We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This
role involves handling escalations from the Tier 1 helpdesk team, assisting

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This
role involves handling escalations from the Tier 1 helpdesk team, assisting
with onboarding and offboarding processes using Active Directory, and
collaborating with various teams including the NOC and User Administration
teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Escalation Management: Handle escalations from the Tier 1 helpdesk team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of complex technical issues.
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including setting up and deactivating accounts in Active Directory.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the NOC and User Administration teams to ensure seamless IT operations and user support.
- On-site and Remote Support: Provide on-site support at the office, with occasional travel to the Madison, WI office. Most issues can be resolved remotely, but some hardware support responsibilities will require on-site presence.
- Hardware Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Software Support: Provide support for software applications, including Windows 10, Office 365, and other enterprise applications.
- Imaging and Deployment: Manage the imaging and deployment of new hardware and software, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and properly configured.
- Automation and Scripting: Utilize automation tools and scripting to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Desktop Support: 2+ years of white glove desktop support experience, providing high-quality service to end-users.
- Windows 10: Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving Windows 10 issues.
- Active Directory: Experience with onboarding and termination processes, including account setup and deactivation.
- Technical Support: Strong experience in technical support, including imaging, deployment, Office 365, hardware, printers, Intune, automation, and scripting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
- Customer Service: A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to providing exceptional service and support.
Top Skills:
- White glove desktop support experience (2+ years)
- Windows 10 troubleshooting experience
- Onboarding/termination experience with Active Directory
