Evergreen Healthcare Partners, a leading healthcare IT consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Consultant for a 3-month contract position in Yuma, AZ at a community hospital. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide on-site technical support for a backlog of service tickets, troubleshoot PC and hardware issues, and ensure efficient resolution of any IT challenges faced by end-users in a healthcare environment. This position requires a hands-on professional who can work independently to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ticket Resolution: Address and resolve a backlog of support tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues.
- On-Site Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for PC issues, hardware replacements, and peripheral installations directly at the Yuma location.
- System Maintenance: Perform system updates, virus scans, software installations, and maintenance on desktop systems.
- Documentation: Accurately document all troubleshooting and problem resolution steps in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate: Work with other IT team members to escalate unresolved issues and share insights to improve ticket resolution processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in desktop support or a related IT support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, hardware diagnostics, and software installation.
- Ticketing Systems: Experience with a ticketing system to track and resolve support requests.
- Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Availability: Must be able to work on-site in Yuma, AZ for the full contract duration. Travel reimbursement available, local candidates preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-volume support environment with proven ability to manage multiple tickets.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
Contract Details:
- Duration: 3 months (possible extension based on performance and business needs)
- Location: Onsite in Yuma, AZ
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
