Summary
The Detailer works with Sales and Creative teams on the acquisition of new business, partnering with these teams to aid in design development through production.
This position will support our Design team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of Orlando, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Develop detailed production ready design drawings depicting fabrication, construction and assembly of structures for exhibit and event projects, using CAD software
+ Lay out and depict functional components for production and show site installation and assembly
+ Modify and revise designs to correct construction deficiencies or to reduce production problems
+ Prepare comprehensive BOM lists for production
+ Collaborate with others to determine technical details of productions
+ Consult with other departments to identify optimal construction methods while respecting the original design
+ Recommends design modifications to eliminate unnecessary costs or labor hours, and/or construction problems
+ Partner with Designers to provide feedback on construction problems
+ Partner with Sales/Estimating/Design on business development opportunities
+ Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market characteristics
+ Confer with Sales, Design, Estimating and Production to develop enhanced production techniques and refine processes. Suggests solutions to production challenges
+ Aids Design by modeling complex structures in production ready form
+ Functions as an expert with a deep understanding of customer needs and the organizations offerings
+ Perform QA/QC on all detail drawings from local team
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
+ 3+ years of experience in Detailing and/or Drafting
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
AutoCAD Certified Professional preferred
