Development and Marketing Specialist
Position Purpose
The Development/Marketing Coordinator under the general supervision of the Executive Director or Deputy Director is responsible for a wide variety of developing the organization’s marketing, and public image.
Principle Accountabilities
Create business and marketing plans for adding and building client work.
- Establish training seminars for marketing (highlighted by media and other organizations).
- Write company overviews, media advisories, press releases and program highlights
- Build and enhance programming for current and potential projects.
Development
- Implement public relations protocols and build relations with the media on local, national, and international levels.
- Create standards for marketing collateral –announcements, brochures, invitations, newsletters, etc.
- Build and enhance a management system that entails marketing collateral templates.
- Monitor regulations from different agencies that focus on compliance while providing updates to senior management.
- Develop newsletters for team members to inform them of various policies and company standards.
- Keep abreast of trends and inform them of the impact on their business.
- Design and coordinate conferences, receptions, seminars, and client dinners.
- Maintain event budgets and initiated relations with various vendors for sites and giveaways.
- Build and enhance current programming with local and national business organizations, including regulatory agencies and nonprofits.
- Manage branding and strategy for digital assets: Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn and other social media pages.
Education
Master’s degree in business management, Marketing, Public Administration or related field or a combination of education and experience.
Experience
Five years of business and marketing experience in private or public arena. Ability to multi-task and team with non-profit and for-profit entities. Must have fundraising experience.
