As a DevOps Engineer – Contractor with Taylor Healthcare, the engineer will:

Key skills required:
- Sr Resource with 10+ years of IT experience
- Devops- 6+ years
- Azure- 1-3+ years
- AWS- 3-5+ years
- PaaS- 3-5+ years
- Active Directory- 1-2+ years
- Sr Resource with 10+ years of IT experience.
- 6+ years of experience with DevOps tools and release engineering experience
- Familiarity with infrastructure/pipeline as code and best practices
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell
- 3-5 years Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure service offerings, specifically PaaS offerings such as Azure Web Apps and Azure Kubernetes Services
- Solid understanding/experience with web services, databases and relating infrastructure/architectures
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft application development/hosting stack, i.e. .Net Framework/Core, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, IIS, etc.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts both on-premises and in the cloud, i.e. load balancers, Azure Application Gateways, WAF, DNS, subnets/vents, etc. Nice to have but not required:
- Familiarity with Microsoft development and build tools, Visual Studio, MS Build, etc.
- Familiarity with Jenkins and Octopus Deploy
- Experience with C#/.Net development
- 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools and release engineering experience
- Familiarity with infrastructure/pipeline as code and best practices
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell
Responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer – Contractor with Taylor Healthcare, the engineer will:
- Work with our existing pipelines and create new pipelines to enable development and operations to build and deploy our applications
- Be ready to bring new automation technologies and processes to bear to improve the quality and resiliency of our engineering efforts
- Own and drive improvements to our build and release scripts, tools and processes
- Assist us with ensuring the visibility of applications and infrastructure performance via monitoring, setting thresholds and alerting
- Create, maintain and improve development, QA and production environments/pipelines for the Taylor Healthcare suite of application both on-premises and in the Azure Cloud
- Work with development, integration, support and IT teams to ensure requirements are met and assist with the development of standards and processes related to working in a cloud environment Necessary qualification for success:
