Scope:
Dev/Ops Engineer (SDLC Technical Practices) - Skilled with implementation of SDLC Automated Build Processes, Test Driven Development, Continuous integration, Continuous Promotion, Continuous Delivery, etc for software development organizations. Must have direct hands-on knowledge and experience with using the tools/applications than can help make software development and test teams successful in these areas. This role will be responsible for assessing the SE BSD organization's software team current SDLC practices, making recommendations on how the software team can achieve the desired SDLC/agile vision, and coach software teams them on the actual implementation and use of the tools.
SUMMARY:
Considered an expert in SDLC Automated Build Processes, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Promotion and Delivery; along with common software toolsets that enable these processes (Examples: Jenkins, IBM UrbanCode UDeploy, Puppet, Maven, and Rally for automation, etc.) which can be used to help facilitate these activities.
Scripting experience as it relates to the related tools. Extensive experience with Jenkins and IBM UrbanCode UDeploy is desired.
Experience managing multiple concurrent application teams and agile projects throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Experienced with the Agile and SCRUM practices
Well versed with software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, ITSM, PMI – PMBOK, Six Sigma, CMMi methodologies
Experienced with the use of Rally (Portfolio structures, user stories, iterations, releases, etc) and KPI/metric dashboards in Rally
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Expert in conducting audits, developing team assessments, and analyzing results to build customize solutions for software teams and organizations.
DESIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:
SDLC Framework/Methodology: Agile, Scrum, TDD, SDLC, PMBOK, Waterfall, Iterative, ITIL, ITSM, JAD, Six Sigma and CMMi
Tools: Rally, JIRA-Greenhopper, MS Project , MS Office, MS SharePoint, Visio, Access, Word, Excel, Jenkins, Puppet, Rally connectors
Exposure to software teams working with languages: C++, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Web Services, UML, XML, VB.NET, MS-SQL, PL/SQL
GENERAL:
Manages all assigned projects to completion.
Maintains communication with team and provides status to stakeholders at all times through face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and other communication paths.
Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to management.
Ensures effective implementation of solutions/changes.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance Mon-Fri at the Comcast Center Philadelphia facility or West Chester-PA, schedule(s) as necessary.
EDUCATION: Minimum - Bachelors of Science Degree (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred). Higher education desired.
