Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated build and release channels
- Manage the configuration of the build infrastructure (ex. AWS Lambdas, Environments)
- Improve reliability and performance of test and build processes with gated releases
- Proactively look for ways to automate the installation and upkeep of build tools and dependencies
- Review and recommend solutions and tools to improve the software development process
- Own the process for releasing builds into upper level environments (TST, QA, PRE-PROD, PROD)
- Managing pre/post release code merges, pull requests, and prod change management.
- Building the bridge between Engineering (dev & QA) and IT Operations.
- Demonstrable track records of implementing continuous deployment (CD) through to production.
- Build and Design experience creating monitoring and alerts through automation.
Experience
- 5 years experience in DevOps Engineering and Software Development
- Experience with industry-standard IDE, version control, development tools an good understanding of DevSecOps role with experience with CICD tools like bit bucket, Jenkins, Bamboo
- Experience with Windows Linux systems CI CD tools for Net and Java Jenkins and VSTS Azure DevOps automation and containerization tools
- Experience with various languages Bash C Javascript Powershell Python and VB JQuery a plus
- Experience using Source Code Management systems Bitbucket Stash Git and VSTS experience
- Solid understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of a standard software development tool suite
