The DevOps QA Engineer II will work with members of the applications development, product management, and QA resources within an agile environment, to ensure delivery of high-quality banking applications. This role will work closely with the entire QA team and provide guidance to more junior members of the QA team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Effectively communicate issues, risks and dependencies with product teams, and product owners escalating where appropriate.
· Plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, and processes as determined within the product teams’ sprint planning.
· Collaborate with cross-functional product teams.
· Perform functional and regression testing on all software sprints and releases, ensuring that each software sprint and release successfully pass the test plan developed for each sprint and release prior to commencement of user acceptance testing. May be required to facilitate load and performance testing.
· Follow software development/testing methodologies (such as agile/scrum) and maintain software development/testing (SDCL) methodologies and maintain software development/testing standards and procedures.
Competencies Required:
· Knowledge of quality assurance and testing best practices and methodologies.
· Familiar with all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, development, quality assurance, deployment and operations.
· Experience working with cross functional teams to quickly solve problems.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving skills coupled with initiative and accountability, encompassing attention to detail and data accuracy.
· Ability to perform research when anomalies are encountered.
· Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, multiple priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Exceptional verbal communication and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics.
· Strong database query writing, understanding of relational databases.
· Motivated self-starter, and eager to learn.
· Knowledge of testing within specific competencies, which could include payment or transactional data processing across platforms or applications, would be beneficial.
· Understanding of change and release management, with the desire and aptitude for identifying and escalating areas identified for process improvement.
Qualifications
· 6+ years in software testing required.
· Extensive User Interface testing experience required.
· Experience in API level testing preferred.
Formal Education & Certification:
· Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or other technology related fields, preferred.
Work Status:
· Full-Time.

· None.

· No travel expected.

· Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
