About the Job
We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team! This role will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's SDLC, cloud environment, and data. Their primary focus will be to ensure the security, availability, and reliability of our systems and applications. The DevSecOps Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain secure infrastructure and automate security controls.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Development Support
- Implement tools and technologies to support and protect the build pipeline
- Develop, implement, and continuously verify baseline standards against build and infrastructure deployments
- Automate key security processes
- Create solutions for an efficient and secure organization
- Security Support
- Monitor security events and alerts generated by various security systems, such as intrusion detection systems (IDS), security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and firewalls particularly in the AWS Cloud model. Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement appropriate remediation measures.
- Security Incident Handling: Coordinate and participate in incident response efforts in the event of security breaches or cyberattacks. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and management to mitigate the impact of incidents and restore normal operations.
- Conduct analysis of external threat intelligence and internal security alerts to formulate effective detection and response strategies
- Support the ongoing protection of the environment through SAST, DAST, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning test and remediation programs
- Operations Support
- Serve as an expert on our operational performance, and devise innovate strategies for improvement
- Monitor and support the overall AWS infrastructure for system performance, scalability, and uptime
- Leverage scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, and Terraform to increase automation and reduce cloud related expenses
- Write and develop cloud automation playbooks for managing and scaling containers hosts cloud services and applications
Requirements:
Experience with the following areas in Primary Core AWS:
- Hands on experience building and supporting AWS in a large corporate environment
- Track record of creating strong remediation policies for issues that arise in cloud environments
- Working knowledge of AWS CDK and CI/CD technologies
- Ability to build strong relationships within IT and with business stakeholders
- Understands creation and implementation of effective workflows
- Experience with WAF, IDS, SAST, DAST, Tenable, and CloudWatch preferred.
- Familiar with standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC2 and achieving and maintaining compliance.
Nice to Have Experience:
- AWS Certified Solution Architect
- AWS Certified Security Specialty
- 1-2 years in AWS practice
