As a Diagnostic Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our customers' vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, brake inspections, and other scheduled maintenance services.
- Diagnose and Repair: Identify mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and perform necessary repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Conduct Inspections: Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Use Diagnostic Tools: Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve complex automotive issues.
- Documentation: Accurately document all services and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Maintain Work Area: Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Certification: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school training is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Able to use computer and IPad components.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions
