Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiologic Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging Technologist) to join our Radiology department at our M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN.
This position is eligible for up to a $10,000. new hire Sign-on Bonus!
The Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

Schedule : This position will be working 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the night shift. This position will also work an as needed weekend rotation.
+ Night Shift: Monday through Friday - 11:00pm to 7:00am

Responsibilities Job Description
Maintaining patient care.
+ Performs examinations
+ Identifies relevant data from images accurately
+ Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
+ Participates in crafting a culture of patient safety
+ Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
+ Verify patient identification and documentation
+ Connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
+ Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Ensuring patient data integrity.
+ Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
+ Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
Participating as an active team member
+ Orients and mentors new employees and students
+ Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
+ Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
+ Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
+ Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care
+ Contributes to a positive work environment
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Correctly operating equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
+ Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly
+ Maintains a high level of competency
+ Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
+ Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
Demonstrating the ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ License/Certification/Registration
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (before date of hire) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
+ Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience
+ 1 year of experience as a technologist
+ Experience working with pediatric patients
