This role will be an integral part of the team, working with the business to build long term talent strategies, all with a focus on diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Specialist
As a DIB Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs that support the overall diversity, inclusion and belonging plan. You will work closely with HR and various department leaders to identify talent needs, implement inclusive hiring practices, and ensure our workplace policies and practices reflect our commitment to equity and inclusion.
A day in the life of a Diversity Specialist typically revolves around implementing and monitoring programs that promote diversity within an organization. This role reviews data on workforce diversity and prepares reports that reflect the company’s progress towards diversity goals.
Additionally, this role leads the Employee Resources Group strategy and program and the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) diversity conferences to support the overall DIB strategy of creating an inclusive workplace for everyone to thrive.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role
Experience in organizational strategy for diversity, inclusion and belonging with a background in Human Resources.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
Self-directed and motivated. Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Ability to navigate through complexity and matrixed environment.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Experience in creative problem solving, influencing, change management, and eliminating barriers at any organization level.
What you need to be successful
We are looking for creative and business minded professionals with a passion for building an inclusive workplace where our people thrive.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Sociology, or related field; advanced degree or DEI-specific certification is a plus.
2 years of experience in a Human Resources role with proven experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs and initiatives.
