Job Title: Equipment Technician
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualities:
- Personable, reliable, and ethical

- Intelligent and capable of effective communication
- Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs
- Strong mechanical skills
- Good understanding of equipment operations and mechanical functions
- Ability to perform repairs on all major equipment systems
- Good work habits and a commitment to safety
Responsibilities: As an Equipment Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Reconditioning and repairing equipment and components
- Planning methods and sequences for assigned repairs
- Ordering necessary parts and materials for repairs
- Effectively completing repairs in a safe manner
- Ensuring timely and thorough completion of all assigned repairs
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Keeping accurate records of time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases for repairs
- Assisting in work order management, including opening, closing, and labor posting
- Receiving and distributing department correspondence and service information
- Maintaining control logs for department-directed items
- Handling communication professionally with customers and co-workers
- Participating in safety programs and required training
- Performing additional duties and special projects as assigned
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects
- Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pulling, and reaching
- Talking, hearing, and close visual acuity are frequently required
- Seldom crawling, pushing, and fingering
- Subject to environmental conditions with protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes
