Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician - Stan Houston Equipment

We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician to join our team at our Rapid City location.

Work hours are Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Diagnostic repair and maintenance of a wide variety of construction equipment including, but not limited to lifts, mini excavators, generators, construction tools and miscellaneous equipment
• Maintain paperwork for work orders

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:

• Vocational or technical education in mechanics, machine tool technology or related field preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience heavy equipment repair and maintenance preferred (not required)
• Mechanical ability and knowledge

Physical Capabilities Required:

• Must be able to lift up to 100lbs at a time.  
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Moderate amounts of grasping, fingering, and repetitive motion
• Operate hand and power tools and other specialized equipment
• Adequate vision to read small print and work with intricate parts and equipment
• Sufficient hearing for sounds and signals from equipment to detect and diagnose problems  
• Able to stand for long periods of time and work in uncomfortable positions

Rapid City store hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm.
