We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Southbury, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and hydraulic systems, ensuring our equipment operates at peak performance. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.
- Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical, diagnostic services and ABS Brake Systems.
- Read Repair Orders and be able to perform general and detailed repairs of all trucks, engines and components.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.
- Utilize mechanical troubleshooting skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all repairs and maintenance work performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall equipment reliability.
- Available for Emergency On-Call Repairs
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License.
- Class A CDL a plus but not required
- Proven experience in heavy equipment repair; 2 years experience preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulics and hydraulic systems.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Knowledge of Mack, Kenworth, International, CAT, Hitachi, John Deere
- Knowledge of the softwares: Diesel Laptop & JPRO with PACCAR and Mack
