**Job Description:**

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operation and safely.

**Responsibilities:**

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.
- Test vehicle systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

**Requirements:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- ASE certification in diesel mechanics.
- Experience with various types of heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, buses, and construction equipment.
- Knowledge of computerized diagnostic tools and software.
