We are seeking a(an) Dietary Clerk for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Dietary Technician, you will be responsible for the clerical aspects of preparation for patient meal service through accurate menu processing on the touch screen computer and assisting patients with menu selection over the phone

• You will answer menu line within a timely manner and utilize excellent customer service
• You will assist customer with selections that are available to them based on their nutritional restrictions
• You will document all meals and nourishment’ served to each patient for all meals
• You will monitor the tray line food quality and confirm proper adherence to dietary restrictions per patient
• You will be responsible for accurate and timely preparation of each patient’s menus
• You will process Room Service customer orders including the patient and family-initiated orders following standard procedures and time frames

What qualifications you will need: 

Experience

• Basic computer and clerical knowledge
• 1 year of experience in food service in a healthcare setting – preferred
• Experience with HealthTouch Room service Dining Software - preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Travis County Health Department Food Handler Card or State Food Safety permit
