Day to day as a Dietary Cook

At Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation, our Dietary Cook plays a pivotal role in ensuring that resident meals are prepared and served with excellence. This position is vital in fulfilling authorized menus while maintaining the highest sanitation and quality standards. As a Dietary Cook, you will not only expertly cook and portion meals but also assist in food preparation and service.

You will set up tables and trays, wash tableware and cooking utensils, and perform essential cleaning tasks to uphold a pristine kitchen environment. A deep commitment to following facility policies, infection control protocols, and current systems is critical to this role. Additionally, participating in staff meetings and in-service training will keep you engaged and informed as we strive for continuous improvement and exceptional service in our kitchen.
