Introduction: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee our dietary department and ensure the provision of high-quality nutrition services to our facility. As a Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for managing food service operations, developing and implementing
dietary plans, and supervising dietary staff to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations of the dietary department, including meal planning, food
preparation, and service.
• Develop and implement nutritionally sound menus that meet the dietary needs of
residents or patients.
• Ensure compliance with dietary regulations, including health and safety standards, sanitation, and infection control.
• Supervise dietary staff, conduct training sessions, and schedule work assignments.
• Monitor food and supply inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal nutritional care to residents or patients.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to dietary standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dietary services and resident or
patient dietary needs.
• Develop and manage departmental budget, controlling costs and optimizing resources.
• Stay informed about current trends and developments in nutrition and dietary
management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Food Service Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Dietary Manager or similar role in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary regulations, and food service management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in computer applications related to dietary management and nutrition.
• State of Hawaii Food Handlers certification (required).
