We are now hiring a full-time Dietary Technician.

Essential Job Functions Include:

• Implement nutritional care plans in collaboration with the dietitian.
• Gather information for quarterly nutritional assessments.
• Maintain and update Resident’s nutritional care plans.
• Attend weekly comprehensive care plan meetings as assigned.
• Counsel resident and/or their families regarding special diets when assigned. Obtain food preferences and update documentation.
• Meet with the Dietitian regularly to update regarding current tasks or Resident Concerns.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Registered Dietitian.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Food Service or Nutrition preferred. A.A.S. with a nutritional background at minimum.
• Knowledge of food service operations and regulations.
• LTC Experience preferred.
• Must be available for holidays and weekends.
• Be a team player and work cooperatively with all staff in the facility.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply.)
• Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with Residents, staff, visitors, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, etc. under all conditions and circumstances.
