Dietetic Technician - Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation and Pediatrics

Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility located in Haskell, NJ caring for both the pediatric and geriatric populations. We are currently looking for a Full Time or Part Time ClinicalDietetic Technician to join our team. 

The primary responsibility of the position is to work closely with clinical Registered Dietitians providing high-level technical assistance and support to ensure patient care. Work independently to perform nutrition screening, assessments, care plans, MDS and CAA as well as patient education, within guidelines of approved level of care, scope of practice and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities as a Clinical Dietetic Technician:

• Resident information input in Meal tracker
• Routine clinical nutrition task and documentation in medical records:  perfume nutritional assessment, implement nutritional care plans, MDS/CAA, special nourishment/supplements, and education/counseling, etc...
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and other health care professionals to assure patient nutrition needs are metParticipate in performance improvement data collection and productivity statistic collection
• Act as a resource to the health care team, peers, and food services department regarding nutrition issues that relate to the patients in the department

 Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or bachelor’s degree in Dietetics.
• Valid registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (DTR)
• Preferred: 3-6 months experience in hospital and/or long-term care nutrition position.
