- Be a Registered Dietitian and Licensed in Texas;
- Conduct nutrition assessments and provide diet education to patients;
- Educate patients and family members as well as facility staff in concepts of nutrition and diet modification;
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team conferences and is a great team player;
- Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays; and Assist with Food Service Management as needed.
- Are willing to cross train to provide nutrition care to various patient populations;
- Demonstrate excellent communication, customer service and computer and time management skills;
- Thrive in a high energy and demanding environment and be flexible and able to adapt to a changing patient population while working with an outstanding and cooperative RD Team;
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
