Sodexo is seeking a Full-Time Dietitian Nutritionist II to join their clinical nutrition team at UNC Health Johnston Clayton Facility a 50 bed facility. 

The Dietitian will assist the Smithfield location as needed. This new team member will be responsible for providing support to inpatient units and outpatient clinics, as assigned.

Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days!Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal!Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually!

The Dietitian Nutritionist will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and will:

     • Be a Registered Dietitian with at 3- 5 years of experience.     • Advanced certification (CNSC) or CDCES preferred, but not required.

     • Prior nutrition support experience is preferred     • Maintain responsibility for comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments,

        intervention including nutrition support, education, and counseling patients and their families

        per the Nutrition Care Process model.      • Provide education to patients, as well as staff, and work well with physicians, nursing, occupational and                    speech therapists, and other ancillary staff. Liaison for food service.     • Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and                            make decisions while working within a self-directed and team- oriented work environment.      • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety

        of individuals and groups.      • Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns, as needed.      • Strong time management and organizational skills are required to be successful in this position.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
