Dietitian: This 1.0FTE/Full-time position is scheduled to work 8-HR day shifts Monday-Friday.
Compensation: Non-exempt, $32.30/HR-$46.51/HR
Sign-on Bonus: $5,000, *conditions apply.

Job Summary:
- Coordinates the nutrition services provided to individual patients (both inpatient and outpatient) and their families/caregivers as needed. Coordinates the employee wellness program.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides nutrition assessment, identifies personalized nutrition interventions for inpatient and outpatient populations, and implements them as needed.
- Practices evidence-based, best practice, patient-centered nutrition care that is safe, effective, efficient, timely, and reflects the quality Plan for Mason Health.
- Communicates with the Culinary and Nutrition Services department to develop and implement nutritionally appropriate menus to accommodate the various needs of the inpatient population.
- Functions as an essential part of the Mason General Hospital patient care team, providing nutritional expertise and collaborating with other disciplines to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Manages the Mason Health employee wellness program, including employee nutrition education, wellness events, and other engagement opportunities.
- Creates community-relevant nutrition presentations and educates those within the hospital district as needed.
- Utilizes evidence-based research to provide input on quality improvement plans and policy and procedure development related to nutrition therapy.
- May function as a clinical preceptor for Dietetic Interns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics/Nutrition
- Active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Clinical dietetics experience preferred.
Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
- Registered Dietitian required or eligible for registry
- Dietitian Certification from the Washington State Department of Health
- Current Washington Food Handlers Permit
- Certified Diabetes Educator, American Association of Diabetes Educators, preferred
