Responsibilities:Position Summary:
The Digital Communication Specialist, reporting to the Head of Consumer Digital Strategy, will work within the department of digital strategic services and in partnership with marketing and public affairs, to drive growth for UCI Health through digital channels, tools, and platforms. In addition to supporting ongoing maintenance and user experience optimization on our consumer-facing website(s), this position will be engaged on related initiatives such as reputation management, online scheduling, patient communications/messaging and other digital patient-facing content. The digital communication specialist will enable success for consumer digital and brand experience channels through project management, voice of the consumer advocacy, ongoing qualitative and quantitative analysis, and strategic recommendations. From a relationship perspective, the position will socialize digital strategy plans and recommendations, manage vendor relationships, collaborate with relevant department stakeholders. They must demonstrate a full understanding of industry practices and organization policies and procedures, as well as good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- Understanding and experience with online metrics and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and/or WebTrends to determine online marketing and social media campaign effectiveness
- Strong time and project management skills and comfortable with deadlines
- Skill with Microsoft Office products, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must have excellent written communication skills
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Knowledge of HTML
- Knowledge of Dreamweaver, FrontPage
- Creative problem solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Marketing or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and years of directly related work experience
- At least 2 years working knowledge of social media vehicles and tools as well as strong grasp of social media industry trends and best practices
- At least 2 years of experience creating and modifying web page content.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, English, Journalism or similar degree program
