SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Digital Twin Operator I position is to develop, manage, and execute MD Anderson Cancer Center's Data Science initiative for the Facility Division through Digital Twins. Enabling data science-enabled insights for decision-making, these digital representations of buildings are used to provide real-time insights, and predict possible outcomes for building performance overtime. This technology connects smart building data and structures in a single platform tracking the facility's performance, monitoring maintenance requirements and resolving operational issues.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Monitoring and Maintenance: Ability to analyze very complex assets (equipment and spaces) and building systems. Continuously monitoring the performance and health of both the physical asset and its digital twin to ensure accuracy and reliability. Communicate areas of improvement or otherwise to BIM, Program Manager to ensure BIM Program aligns priorities and BIM Standards to support Digital Twin effort.
Data Integration: Integrating data from various sources, including IoT devices, sensors, and external systems, into the digital twin. Ensuring MD Anderson CMMS data structure is present and mapped to critical assets and systems.
Analysis and Optimization: Analyzing data to optimize operations, improve performance, and predict potential issues before they occur.
Simulation and Testing: Running simulations to test different scenarios and their impact on the physical asset without risking real-world consequences. Assess maintenance schedules for equipment to setup cadence of such reporting and communicate to critical stakeholders in the support of preventative maintenance.
Updating Models and MDA Facilities Template: Regularly updating the digital twin model(s) to reflect changes in the physical asset or system, ensuring the twin remains a true representation. Regularly updating MDA Facilities Template, MDA classification system and ensuring alignment with Equipment Matrix team. Creating or updating associated parameters required based on project needs and mapping parameter to asset(s). Creating, updating and managing Inventory structure, filters and data to meet CMMS needs.
Technical Support and Training: Monitoring, diagnosing and communicating issues in the physical asset by using the insights gained from the digital twin. To translate the digital metadata to the real work to critical stakeholders is key. Must be able to work with various teams, including engineering, IT, building systems/building automation and operations, to leverage the digital twin for decision-making and strategic planning. Generating reports and maintaining documentation related to the digital twin's performance, updates, and outcomes according to MD Anderson standards.
