Digital Engineering Lead - PeopleTec, Inc.

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Digital Design Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

We are currently seeking a mid/senior-level Product Owner to support our Huntsville location.

Our team is seeking an experienced and visionary Digital Engineering Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering innovative digital solutions. As the Digital Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of digital projects, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Duties:

• Lead and manage the digital engineering team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
• Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of digital projects, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Develop and implement best practices, standards, and processes for digital engineering.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our digital strategy and recommending innovative solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and performance of our digital platforms and applications.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial constraints.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes creativity, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and analyze requirements for new DoD T&E capabilities. Ensure the new capabilities align with specific needs and goals of the DoD T&E community.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining the scope, schedule, risks, and budget for capability development projects.
• Build coalitions, foster collaboration, and engage USG senior leaders (e.g., GS15/SES)

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital engineering or software development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices architecture, and DevSecOps practices.
• Proven experience in managing and delivering complex digital projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovative solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Hands-on experience with digital engineering tools, environments, and/or languages (e.g., MagicDraw, CEA, Cameo Teamwork Cloud, SysML, UPDM 2).
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Desired Skills:

• Advanced experience with implementing digital engineering in a government product/program office.
• Advanced experience with Government Architecture Frameworks (e.g., EAF, FAF, GRA)
• Experience with development and implementation of digital threads
• Strong understanding of the DoD T&E community
• Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Demonstrated track record leading successful product development initiatives from solution generation to prototype.
• Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with program delivery.
• Strong understanding of agile principles and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Skill in managing relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, end-users, executives, and development teams.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) is preferred.
• Analytical mindset to gather and analyze data, make data-driven decisions, and measure the success of the product.
• Located in either Huntsville, AL, Washington D.C. or Ft. Walton Beach, FL area.
