About the Job
Summary
The Company's Digital Marketing Content and Communications Manager influences and implements our verbal messaging strategy and maintains the brand voice across external and partner marketing efforts and communications. Deliverables generally fall into one of four categories - thought leadership, lead generation, education, or partner communications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in copywriting and can deliver the appropriate messaging and storytelling for a wide range of channels and creative execution formats. In addition to maintaining product collateral, the Content Manager will drive social media engagement, digital campaigns - including email marketing, support PR and SEO efforts, help plan and execute online and in-person events. The Content Manager will need to be or become proficient in company's CRM, marketing automation, and project management software, and website platform as well as other related systems (e.g., the Nextivity Partner Portal, social media platforms, etc.). This is very a busy team where each member wears multiple hats.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Channel Partners to develop and distribute engaging content and stories via collateral, the website, press releases, emails, case studies, white papers, social media, videos (scripting), and other market-facing deliverables.
- Ensure partner and market-facing content is accurate, engaging, and error-free. The Nextivity brand has an element of light-heartedness and humor. Our desire to not take ourselves too seriously needs to permeate our content, wherever appropriate.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar, including social media, that aligns with the organization's global sales and marketing goals.
- Lead the organization's social media efforts and strategy across all platforms, including community management as well as identifying trends and opportunities to reach larger audiences and build a strong following. Includes paid and unpaid campaigns and content. Note that we view social media as a marketing channel and means of distribution for the content we develop.
- Distribute content across appropriate platforms and channels to reach stakeholders, including sales team members, partners, end users, and prospects.
- Coordinate/manage content and projects executed by external vendors, including scoping, communicating expectations and deliverables, managing timelines, and ensuring performance to spec. An example of this is editing content developed by our PR agency.
- Utilize sales and digital marketing platforms and associated tools to generate and track leads and campaign effectiveness - includes website forms, email marketing, landing pages, drip programs, lead scoring, reporting, and attribution.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to produce engaging webinars and other events that drive leads and educate sales, partners, customers, and prospects while supporting and build the brand.
- Conceptualize, deliver, and measure the effectiveness of digital and traditional marketing campaigns (corporate, product, co-branded) to achieve specific objectives.
- Ensure content is SEO-optimized and aligned with SEO goals to increase organic traffic to our website.
- Proofread, edit, and improve new public-facing content in support of team and company. Marketing is the final set of eyes on all external communications.
- As routine, work collaboratively with teammates and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of content. Other marketing tasks, as required, to meet team objectives.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written communication skills. Wireless / RF technology-related writing experience is a plus.
- Must be able to write independently of AI tools such as ChatGPT. While we use and encourage appropriate use of all available tools and technology, we need to maintain the light-hearted tone of our brand and accuracy around our innovative technical content.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to recognize and correct typos, inconsistencies, and other errors before they reach public forums.
- Ability to prioritize across multiple projects to meet the most pressing business goals on time.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills that help keep the team productive and moving forward.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where there may be some uncertainty.
- Organizational and coordination skills, with the flexibility to adjust plans as needs and priorities change.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to manage interactive meetings / webinars on multiple common platforms.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of experience in the following required:
- Marketing for a Technology company (Wireless / Telecom preferred)
- Marketing content creation and storytelling for technical or scientific company - including working with SMEs to find a way to communicate complex concepts in a digestible way
- Social media management
- Identifying opportunities to create compelling content to drive leads, educate our customers and/or accelerate time to sale
- Working with internal or external PR managers to identify and draft stories of interest to third-party publications
- Using Pardot / Salesforce Account Engagement.
- Collect and use data to improve marketing content.
Education / Training
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
