We are looking for an experienced and motivated technologist who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to build the future with us as a Solutions Architect supporting our Digital Operations solution suite for Energy. You possess an understanding of and display experience in Oil and Gas and Power and Utlities. You will craft highly scalable, versatile, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. These solutions always keep the customer and their experience first.
In partnership with the broader digital operations team, you will be playing a technology leader role for the team - responsible for shaping and executing a strategy to build a solution suite enabling the broad use of AWS and its partners across various Energy' operations globally - oil & gas facilities, renewable facilities, industrial infrastructure etc. You will responsible for taking specific project based architectures and creating more versatile cloud based architectures for wider applicability to other customers. You exercise good judgement in balancing short-term value with longer-term supportability and are keenly aware of how technological changes might impact your solutions. You are never constrained by the realities of today. You can see areas where AWS and our partners can innovate and work across organizations (both internal and external) to deliver new value to our customers.
You will adeptly interact, communicate and partner with other teams at AWS including engineering, marketing, business development, product designers and professional services, and represent your team to executive management. You possess a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
