Digital Press Operator - Vivid Impact

Shift Details:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30M.
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
• 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM.

Role Purpose:

The Digital Press Operator is tasked with programming and preparing printing jobs, operating and maintaining digital print equipment with limited assistance. The operator must possess the skills necessary to efficiently manage the print process, ensuring the production of high-quality outputs and meeting tight deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Configure and operate digital printing press equipment, ensuring readiness for production tasks.
• Read and interpret instructions from the job jacket, ensuring proper setup of printing jobs.
• Manage and execute the printing of documents, including setup and formatting, to achieve optimum print quality.
• Understand the capabilities of the printing machine to maximize print quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine printing procedures, requiring quality inspection, adherence to procedures, visual discrimination, and analytical judgment.
• Stock machines with necessary materials and manage inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on printing equipment as required.
• Ensure that scheduled deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Continually inspect printed jobs for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to all safety and work rule regulations.
• Take on additional duties as needed to support the printing team.

Qualifications:

• Direct experience with Ricoh, HP Indigo, or Canon digital printing presses.
• HP Indigo experience required for 3rd Shift; Indigo Certification highly preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in file-to-print processes.
• Technical and mechanical aptitude, with relevant experience in printing or production.
• Experience with color printing, preferably in a 4-color process setting.
• Quality-focused mindset with the ability to identify and address quality-related issues.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effective written and verbal expression.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexible and adaptable, ready to meet the challenges of varying daily production needs.
• Customer-oriented attitude with a proactive "can do" approach.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods, handling materials as needed.
