We are currently seeking a Dining Room Manager to join our team at Deer Creek Lodge. As the Dining Room Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Dietary General Manager in all aspects of operations of the Deer Creek Lodge dietary department including but not limited to: supervising, evaluating, disciplining and hiring dietary staff, food quality, sanitation and ensuring the highest quality of service. This person is to use his/her expertise, management skills, sensitivity to residents and staff to plan, develop implement, maintain and evaluate all operational programs, policies, and procedures related to Dining Room and Dietary Management.

Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for supervising/training/evaluating lead server, servers, porters to ensure that they fulfill their responsibilities in quality and quantity so that all aspects of daily operations are executed at the highest standards. This includes coaching evaluations, server observations on a regular basis and annual evaluations

- Responsible for ensuring that servers are up to date with new hire orientation paperwork, yearly evaluations, in-services.

- Maintain sanitation at all dietary organizational levels ensuring that all daily checklists are completed and monitored in absence of Dietary Director. To be hands on with all daily activities to include: sanitation, service standards and food quality on a daily basis.

- To assist and interact in all aspects of maintaining the standards of an upscale, high quality dining experience for all tenants. This includes being the key manager responsible for: attendance taking, FACT program management; ensuring only top restaurant quality food is served by having high standards. Training the server staff, with guest relations training and coordinating major meal events.

- Work mealtimes daily as Dietary Manager on duty. To be visible and present in the dining room for entire meal period. Monitor all service standards and if going well, touch tables from a guest relations standpoint.

- Supervise the sick tray delivery system to ensure timeliness, quality, proper food temperatures and accuracy for all meals delivered.
|
- Coordinate dining room seating arrangements of new tenants and tenant seating change requests with the Dietary Director.
|
- Responsible for ensuring quality assurance programs are in place for al areas of responsibility including, FACT program, dining room manager checklist, food run outs satellite coffee areas, high tea and dietary storage areas.
|
- Responsible for maintaining all daily lunch sales, receipts and cash reconciliation accurately.
|
- Show consideration and empathy for the geriatric resident and to communicate any unusual or potential safety issues to Dietary Director and Administrator of Deer Creek Ldoge and ensure staff does the same.
|
- Ensure that Resident Bill of Rights is maintained and advocated.
|
- Respond to resident complaints and emergencies in a timely manner and independently make decisions as appropriate
|
- Assist the Dietary Director with ordering of food and supplies while staying within budgetary guidelines.
|
- Responsible for China and small wares, taking monthly inventories and ordering replacements within budgetary guidelines.
|
- Responsible for ensuring that schedules are written within the budget and posted in a timely manner for all dietary staff.
|
- Maintain good interdepartmental relations and excellent service expectations including with culinary staff on a daily basis
|
- Maintain continuous and open communication with the Dietary Director and Deer Creek Lodge Administrator.
|
- Work weekends and Holidays on a rotating basis.
|
- Implement and monitor pro-active inspection systems for sanitation and all areas of dining rooms, pantries and kitchen including coolers, freezers, steam tables and storage areas outside of kitchen.

- All other duties as assigned by Deer Creek Lodge Administrator and Dietary Director.

Rate: $19.00/hr
Current Openings: Full Time • Deer Creek Lodge - 27070 Cedar Rd. Beachwood, OH 44122. • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
