Responsible for supervising and managing the operations of all Orlando Health retail pharmacies
Responsibilities:Essential Functions
• Ensures patient’s pharmaceutical needs are effectively met by establishing staffing mix, policies, procedures, standards, and
objectives for the provision of services.
• Supervises the integration of pharmacy practice within the retail pharmacies by coordinating resources to provide maximum level
of services to patients and customers.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the retail pharmacy department’s efforts to monitor the quality of staff performance and the
effectiveness of retail pharmacy programs.
• Manage sites’ staff and finances as well as participates in departmental budget preparation.
• Responsible for expense and revenue performance of retail pharmacies.
• Maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of the Orlando Health retail pharmacies.
• Ensure patient safety by managing medication use processes including prescribing, dispensing, administering and monitoring
patient outcomes.
• Maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies; prepares and submits regulatory reports.
• Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Education/Training
Pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy) is required.
Licensure/Certification
Must maintain active Florida Board of Pharmacy licensure.
Experience
Three (3) years pharmacy manager experience in a complex health care system. Thorough knowledge of business management and
pharmacy laws.
