Job Title: Controller
Location: Orlando, Florida Metro Area
Work Schedule: 3 Days On-Site, 2 Days Remote
Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus

Position Overview
Our client, a growing company in the Orlando Metro Area, is seeking a Controller to oversee the company's financial operations. The Controller will manage accounting functions, financial reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role will be critical in shaping the company’s financial strategy, maintaining internal controls, and supporting senior leadership. The candidate will work on-site 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards, maintaining strong internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic financial planning.
- Manage financial audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure tax compliance by managing tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting professional.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience managing month-end close processes, financial statements, and audits.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
