Position Overview

Our client, a rapidly expanding PE-backed company in the Seattle Metro Area, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the company’s continued growth. The Controller will play a pivotal role in financial strategy, process improvements, and partnering with leadership to ensure the company’s financial goals are achieved. This role requires a full commitment to working on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, maintaining robust internal controls.
• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives and operational goals.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met and support long-term business strategy.
• Lead financial audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team to foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
• Proven experience as a Controller or senior financial executive, ideally in a private equity-backed or high-growth company.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Extensive experience with month-end close processes, financial reporting, and audits.
• Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
