Position Overview

Our client, a growing company in the Denver Metro Area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage critical accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with financial regulations. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and supporting its overall financial objectives. The candidate will work on-site 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing variance analysis and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, maintaining strong internal controls.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, contributing to financial planning and analysis.
• Collaborate with auditors during financial audits, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with month-end close processes, financial statements, and audit preparation.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
