The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Direct Response Fundraising Content Manager. The location for this position is remote.

Responsibilities
Responsible for leading, creating, and producing email, social, digital, and mobile content through visual, audio, and written mediums to support events and direct response fundraising initiatives. Responsible for leading and managing the creation and production of creative content, including video assets, audio assets, and live production properties for social and digital fundraising initiatives for both events and direct response. Responsible for leading and managing the execution of concepts from development through launch and production. Responsible for modifying content and platform to meet donor needs. Also responsible for story development, production schedules, talent/speaker preparation, and post-production delivery. It must also measure results using the constituent journey. This position will also support internal enterprise communications to support the expansion and launch of salesforce CRM and salesforce marketing cloud across the organization.
- Must love to write:
- Must be able to translate science and technology into constituent-friendly “clean” communications. Must demonstrate through prior work how you established trust, transparency, and a teaching approach to work.
- Fast and effective communication and the ability to meet writing deadlines in a results-driven revenue-driving environment. The work must lead to conversions and revenue.
- Skilled editor and storyteller:
- Take a list of bullet points and or a rough piece of copy and turn it into clear and concise information. Must be able to weave compelling stories by executing the story arc as established through research, branding strategy, and storytelling best practices.
- Excellent interviewing skills:
- Ability to sit down with subject matter experts and ask the right questions to produce content that teaches, helps, and informs donors and prospective donors.
- Embraces and understands social and digital media:
- Ability to create organic content for social media platforms including Facebook Instagram, YouTube, etc. and understands how to post content and measure performance.
- Solid video, and editing skills:
- Show the visual story of the fundraising messages of the direct response team to amplify the mission and fundraise.
- Embraces analytics, numbers, and measurement:
- Ability to understand effective practices and how to get results based on social and digital media analytics, numbers, and measurement. Knowledge of Google Analytics and social media metrics and measurement platforms.
Qualifications
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of the following experience:
- Must show portfolio of work, including social media posts, blogs, videos, emails, infographics, etc.
- Knowledge of social media and content platforms (such as Sprinklr), how to upload content, and measure results.
- Experience or comprehensive understanding of non-profit environments
- Ability to meet and build beneficial relationships with all levels of Association staff, vendors, and external stakeholders such as volunteers or representatives of partner organizations
- Ability to build and adhere to both strategic and tactical plans
- Ability to adjust based on data.
- Experience working with PowerPoint, canvas, pixaby, Shutterstock and other creative resources.
Preferred:
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of the following experience:
- Skilled in all facets of digital fundraising
- Ability to self-direct daily activities and set priorities
- Ability to work within a high-paced environment and collaboratively with agency partners.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected pay range will be $80,000 to $90,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
