Do you want an opportunity to serve with compassion and help others? We seek patient and dedicated caregivers to assist adults with disabilities in their neighborhood home. Our Caregivers / DSPs provide support to adults living in CILA homes (Community Integrated Living Arrangements) with around-the-clock care. Developmental Foundations, a family owned company providing quality residential services since 1986, is hiring Caregivers / DSPs at our homes in Urbana, IL.

Pay:

• Starting at $17.00/hour

• DSP training is provided and paid. Once trained, you will become a certified DD Aide and will be added to the Health Care Worker Registry (HCWR)

Qualifications:

• DSP or CNA experience beneficial, but not required
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required
• Entry level position. DSP training is provided and paid

Requirements:

• High school diploma/signed high school transcript/G.E.D. required
• Successfully complete and pass background check
• Weekend availability required
• Holiday availability may be required

Responsibilities:

• Companionship
• Housekeeping and meal preparation
• Assistance with medication
• Assistance with personal care, including bathing and toileting
• Ability to stay alert and responsive
