**Job Summary:**
The Direct Support Professional - Part-Time Overnights position at Quentin Street in Waterbury, CT, involves providing habilitative assistance and care to clients in various Agency programs. This role includes direct daily care, teaching, and supervision of clients, along with record-keeping duties. The position requires assisting in developing individualized plans for clients, teaching daily living activities, monitoring client progress, safeguarding client rights, and collaborating with other staff and agencies. Mandating is part of the job.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide supervision to clients to ensure their safety, well-being, and whereabouts are known at all times.
- Contribute to creating and executing individualized plans for each client.
- Teach, supervise, and aid clients in adult daily living activities.
- Monitor and report on client progress towards set goals and address any incidents of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment.
- Complete incident reports and medication error reports as necessary.
- Implement approved behavioral plans and emergency procedures when needed.
- Execute therapist recommendations and programs, like sensory stimulation and positioning.
- Develop and lead recreation and community participation activities.
- Collaborate with coworkers, families, schools, and other agencies.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and client goals, attending staff meetings and training sessions.
- Administer medications, provide routine healthcare and first aid.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of program sites and vehicles, transporting clients to activities as needed.
- Participate in emergency drills and maintain medication certification.
- Handle petty cash and client cash on hand accounts accurately.
- Perform other duties as delegated by the Program Director or Assistant.
**Qualifications:**
- Completion of Medication Certification Program.
- Completion of PMT, CPR, and First Aid training.
- Possession of a valid CT driver's license with a good driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals facing developmental and/or behavioral challenges is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and writing routine reports and correspondence in English.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations.
- Strong reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to focus and observe details accurately.
- Effective communication skills to interact respectfully with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

The work environment may have moderate noise levels and could involve automobile travel, exposing employees to varying weather conditions.
