Dungarvin is looking for dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care support to people with developmental disabilities in our Day Program. Candidates will have a desire to create a lasting positive impact on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals.
What You Get to Do:
- Work a reliable schedule Monday – Friday, 30+ hours per week
- Assist persons served to direct the course of their own lives, develop, and maintain relationships, and participate in their communities.
- Assist individuals with planning and achieving goals.
- Assist with direct care and support with daily activities, such as mealtime and personal cares.
- Plan various activities, outings, and workshops, to improve life skills and help build independence.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Previous experience working with persons with disabilities
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive company van
- 21 years or older
- Able to lift/transfer 50 lbs
- Person-centered, patient, and kind
