Job Description: As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges in their daily lives. This role involves providing compassionate care, assistance with daily activities, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.

• Previous experience in a direct support or caregiving role is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in individuals' lives.
• Ability to handle challenging behaviors and situations with professionalism and care.
• Basic understanding of developmental disabilities and mental health issues.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
• Ability to pass background checks and meet other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
• Provide support in community integration, including transportation, social activities, and vocational training.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other team members.
• Implement individualized support plans and monitor progress towards personal goals.
• Encourage and support individuals in developing skills for greater independence and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided, including progress notes and incident reports.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
